At MgO Systems (“MGO”), we recognize that traditional materials for constructing walls, roofs, and floors demonstrate unacceptable performance when it comes to fire, water, corrosion, insects, and energy efficiency — and we are not willing to settle simply because “that’s the way it’s done”.
We believe there is, truly, a better way to build.
MGO develops and manufactures technologically-advanced building solutions for commercial, residential, education, hospitality, and healthcare applications.Compared to routine methods, our proprietary engineered wall systems provide superior fire rating, water resistance, insulation value, and acoustic performance — all with a pre-fabricated solution that is efficient, cost-effective, healthy, and sustainable.
MGO was literally born out of the ashes
MgO Systems Ltd. was founded in 2013 by Todd and Vanessa McKay after watching their family home be rapidly engulfed in flames after an electric heater in their garage malfunctioned. Thankfully, the McKay family was unharmed, but a lifetime of memories were destroyed in a matter of minutes.
Relying on their decades of experience in the construction and medical industries, they set out to assemble a diverse team focused on the development of higher-performing and safer building solutions.
Sustainability from the ground up
MGO’s C3 Solutions are designed for a 100-year lifecycle compared to the 40-year lifecycle expected of modern stick-build construction.
Beyond building with a longer outlook, our C3 Engineered Wall Systems provide superior insulating value for more efficient heating and cooling, even in extreme environments.
Our building materials are fully-recyclable, and our engineered manufacturing process results in zero related job-site waste, meaning fewer construction materials end up in the local landfill.
MGO’s innovative product development and approach to construction has caught the attention of North America’s green-build movement due to our natural alignment with sustainable building practices.
